Back in time Back to 1956…that’s when Andy started entertaining (as Andy Parsons & The Regals) while also writing so many songs that would remain a best-kept secret for well over 50 years. Andy’s own recordings (The Bug and Voyage Of Love, released on London Records in the early 60’s) gave Andy the resolution to never, ever give up. Some of his tunes were also recorded by other artists (released on Quality Records, Chance Records etc…) but any resounding success was to be paused until 2011. His unshakable love for music has kept him doing what he does best…ENTERTAIN…strutting his stuff right through the British invasion. Andy’s life rule: “Insufficient success and recognition in entertainment has been my greatest motivator to keep going! Over the years, I’ve developed a hunger that feeds me and I love the taste!” Today About 6 months ago, Andy decided to have fun and record a demo’ of his two songs, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. No expectations other than having fun and keeping a promise he made to himself back in 1964…to someday bring them out in the light & do something with them. Bernie Early, a very good friend (mega hit maker with Rock Doll, 1958) heard the two songs and suggested he contact someone by the name of Dixie. Enter, Dixie McCorkell of Triplestrand Productions. The rest is history. Tomorrow Oh, yes, that’s the name of the next song soon to be released by Triplestrand Productions in early 2012 along with 2 more of his songs "Crazy 'Bout You" and "I Give Up", both creations that date back to 1958 and 1961, respectively. Style Andy King LOVES tuxedos…always has and always will. As a result of being a true derivative of Americana style music as opposed to “country music”, his tuxedo look has tagged him as “The Tuxan”. Andy says: “I’ve never taken myself seriously but I have fun and I’m told it shows…a lot. Laughingly, I like that … The Tuxan.” The future Andy loves that old saying…”life’s like a box of chocolates”…whatever happens, thank you, Thank you so very much!! Now, let’s have FUN!
